Full Description

Vripack have been drawing boats in Sneek since 1961, and their name is on a fair few of the vessels that made the expedition yacht a category rather than a curiosity. Aegir is one of theirs, built in steel in 2003 by Searocco Yachts to a Vripack design, and she is a proper sea boat rather than a marina ornament. The hull tells you most of it. Round-bilged steel, 5mm in the plating, on a box keel, 32 tonnes across just under fifteen metres, with a steel superstructure above and rockwool insulation between. She is CE Category A certified, which is the ocean rating, and she carries hydraulic fin stabilisers to make good on it. Her mast lowers hydraulically, taking air draft from 5.50 metres down to 3.60, so the European canal networks are open to her on the way to open water. What makes her interesting at this price is what has been spent on her recently. Between 2023 and 2025 she has had the electrical installation overhauled, new Simrad electronics including twin NSS9 Evo 3S plotters and twin AP44 autopilots, new stainless propeller shafts and water lubrication, new start, generator and thruster batteries, a new stainless anchor and 100 metres of stainless chain, a Lofrans windlass, Kabola central heating, a washing machine, antifouling and anodes. The generator was serviced in 2025 and the sprayhood is newer still. Her twin Volvo Penta TAMD41H diesels were overhauled in 2018 and have covered 1,040 hours since, which for a boat of this age is barely run in. Below she is a two cabin, four berth layout, and unusually both cabins have their own en suite, so a second couple aboard are not queuing for the heads. The interior is teak over teak and holly soles, the galley has a teak worktop with a Bosch induction hob and a Miele fridge, and there is a pilothouse with a chart table and an inside helm alongside the flybridge station above. She lies at the sales office in the Netherlands.
