2023 Redbay Stormforce 1150 with twin Yanmar 8LV-370s, joystick control, enclosed wheelhouse and very low engine hours.
This 2023 Redbay Stormforce 1150 is a highly capable offshore platform built with Redbay’s well-proven commercial DNA. Designed for confident passage-making in challenging conditions, the hull delivers excellent seakeeping, predictable handling and a dry ride across a wide range of speeds. Powered by twin Yanmar 8LV-370 diesel engines coupled to Yanmar ZT370 stern drives, the boat benefits from strong mid-range performance, efficient cruising and precise low-speed control via the Yanmar joystick system. With just 290 engine hours, the engines are fully serviced and ready for the season ahead. The fully enclosed wheelhouse is arranged around four Grammer Avento air-suspension seats positioned close to the boat’s longitudinal centre of gravity, helping reduce fatigue on longer runs.
Built in Redbay’s Cushendall facility in Northern Ireland, the Stormforce 1150 reflects the company’s more than four decades of boat-building experience and its “when you must go to sea” design ethos. The hull is a high-integrity deep-V marine grade laminate with integrated spray rails, offering a balance of stiffness, impact resistance and seakeeping performance. The collar system is heavy-duty 1200 GSM Hypalon bonded along the hull, providing secondary buoyancy and protecting the hull through rough water operations. Structural bulkheads and reinforced deck joints ensure longitudinal strength and load distribution, suitable for offshore conditions. The enclosed wheelhouse structure is engineered to withstand sustained offshore stress and is glazed with robust marine-rated windows for durability and visibility. Through-hull fittings, anchoring systems and deck hardware are marine-spec corrosion resistant, while internal joinery uses quality materials matched to the vessel’s functional and cruising focus.
