Ocean Tramp is a 66-foot ketch-rigged sailing yacht designed for expedition-style voyages in Antarctica. Built for comfort, performance, and adventure, she offers a flexible platform for photographers, scientists, and small groups. With a maximum of 8 guests, this charter offers close wildlife encounters, long landings, and true off-the-grid exploration. Ocean Tramp is powered by a Perkins Sabre 215 HP diesel engine and supported by a Kohler 5KW generator along with two portable Honda generators (2KW and 1KW). She includes a high-capacity watermaker capable of producing 120 litres per hour, allowing for extended autonomy in remote areas.
The vessel is fitted with 12V and 220V charging stations, LED lighting throughout for efficiency, and is supported by solar panels and a wind generator. She also features advanced electronics and satellite communications for navigation and safety.
The yacht carries 5000 litres of diesel fuel and 2500 litres of fresh water, supported by an onboard desalination system. It features a black and grey water holding tank and an onboard sewage treatment system, ensuring compliance with environmental standards.
Navigation systems include broadband 4G radar, GPS, echo sounders, and autopilot. She is equipped with AIS, three VHF radios, an SSB radio, and a satellite phone with onboard email and weather downloading capabilities. The vessel also includes a chart plotter and onboard PC for route planning and tracking.
Ocean Tramp has five guest cabins accommodating up to eight guests in a mix of cozy double and single bunks. The yacht is equipped with three bathrooms with hot showers and a reliable 24/7 heating system to keep the interior dry and warm. The saloon provides a welcoming communal space for meals and relaxation.
The deck space includes large open areas both forward and aft, providing excellent visibility for wildlife watching. The vessel carries a 4.3-meter Inmar tender powered by a Yamaha 20HP engine, as well as kayaks for close-up exploration and a diving compressor for underwater activities.
Ocean Tramp complies with all safety regulations and is outfitted with a 12-person liferaft and an additional 4-person liferaft. Safety gear includes EPIRB, SART, immersion suits, SOLAS-approved lifejackets, inflatable lifejackets, a line throwing device, flares, and a full CO2 engine room firefighting system.
All voyages are subject to weather and ice conditions. Itineraries may change to optimise safety and experience. Charter approval is required. All guests must have medical and evacuation insurance for the duration of the voyage.
