Fidelio is a 2013 custom commission from Jetten Jachtbouw in Sneek, designed by Vripack. She was built for an experienced owner with a precise brief: a twin-screw, fast-displacement, ocean-going motor yacht with an open transom stern, designed around the proportions of a Mercedes-Benz Shooting Brake. That fastback profile, the low wide stance, the sense of purposeful elegance that does not announce itself loudly. Vripack and Jetten translated those proportions into a 17.54m steel hull with an aluminium roof, and it works. Twin Caterpillar CAT C9 Acert diesels, 575hp each, drive her through ZF hydraulic gearboxes onto stainless steel Duplex 4462 shafts with Amartech Axiseal shaft seals. Top speed 14 knots, cruising 9 knots, range 5,000 nautical miles. She has logged 1,441 hours and the engines were fully serviced by Pon Power in September 2025. Naiad Multisea II hydraulic fin stabilisers are fitted throughout the speed range. CE Category A is the highest offshore classification. At 1.35m draft and 3.60m air draft, she can explore shoal-water cruising grounds that deeper vessels cannot reach. The open transom stern incorporates a hydraulically lowerable bathing platform and a tender garage with hydraulic hatch. Heavy watertight pantograph doors protect both sides of the pilothouse. Below, the 2-cabin, 4-berth layout is finished in mahogany with vinyl flooring. The owner's cabin has a French bed (2.10 x 1.40m), walk-in wardrobe, and en-suite bathroom with bath and shower. The guest cabin has a bunk arrangement with a separate bathroom. Galley is fully specified: Neff 4-zone induction, Siemens fridge drawers, Miele fridge/freezer, Siemens dishwasher, separate Miele washer and dryer.
