Easy Rider is a 2018 De Alm Luxe Motor built by De Alm Jachtbouw in Werkendam, Netherlands. 21.50m LOA, 75 tonnes displacement, steel construction throughout. She is one of a relatively small number of modern motor yachts designed and specified to clear the 3.45-metre air-draft restriction of the Main-Danube Canal — the waterway that connects the Rhine to the Danube and makes a true Baltic-to-Mediterranean passage possible without once being stopped by a bridge. Her mast lowers electrically. At minimum, she clears 3.45m with enough margin to proceed. The Rotorswing ZeroSpeed stabiliser system gives her the coastal capability to get between inland waterway networks in the first place. Unlike conventional fin stabilisers, Rotorswing uses electrically-powered rotating discs that fully retract when not needed, providing roll damping across the full 3 to 25-knot speed range and continuing to work at anchor. CE Category B covers operation up to Force 8 and 4-metre seas within 200 nautical miles of shelter. Power comes from a single John Deere 6068 SFM diesel, 400hp. A straightforward, well-proven six-cylinder unit with a strong track record for reliability and serviceability across Europe. Fuel consumption at cruise runs to approximately 18 to 25 litres per hour; 5,000 litres across 3 tanks gives a coastal range of around 200 nautical miles. Below, she is finished in mahogany with classic wood panelling and accommodates 6 in 3 cabins. The owner's cabin has a double bed, walk-in wardrobe, and en-suite bathroom with bath. Guest cabin 2 is en-suite; Guest cabin 1 shares facilities. Post Caminus central heating and Webasto reverse-cycle air conditioning run throughout.
